CRC CoFests! Request For Applications

With generous support from the Schnabl Family and in loving memory of Fred Schnabl
The CRC Convergence Program, with generous support from the Schnabl Family, is pleased to announce a Request for Applications for innovative research projects focused on colorectal cancer. This initiative aims to:
- Support data science-driven research that leverages omics-based datasets to advance our understanding of colorectal cancer biology, pathology, and treatment approaches;
- Advance data science education by making well-characterized CRC datasets available for teaching and methodological development.
All proposals must specifically address research questions related to colorectal cancer biology, pathology, or treatment, and data should be available for analysis at the start of the award period. Awardees will work closely with a data analyst selected by the awarding committee to develop and implement a strategy to deliver on the goals of the project. Funding is available for researchers across Johns Hopkins University, with priority consideration given to junior faculty. A panel of reviewers will evaluate applications based on data quality, scientific merit, feasibility within the allocated resources and potential for synergies with other research initiatives.
Awardees should expect to engage with the Convergence Community to share their findings and demonstrate the potential of their project to inspire future CRC CoFests! Hackathons. Applications must be submitted electronically by June 30, 2025. Proposals should be sent to [email protected] with the subject line: “CRC Data Projects RFA Application”. Please note that incomplete or late submissions will not be reviewed. Awardees can expect to hear back from us around early October. Questions about the RFA terms should be sent to [email protected].
